Out of the box the 700 in 308 with a 16.5" barrel had a good fit and finish. I had no issues with the firearm. The barrel does not touch the stock on the forend as some have mentioned. The trigger is crisp and has a solid feel. For my intended purpose

First purchase with buds n quite happy. Did what they say they would. The gun is accurate and perfect power. I put lupold base n burris rings n scope e1. The stock is okay but ill probably switch it out later. Dont forget that it may be small but heavy. Y
