Detailed Review

Traditions 1873 Rawhide is a revolver that captures the spirit of the Old West. This gun brings back the nostalgia of the Wild West while offering modern safety features.

The 1873 Rawhide is a single-action revolver that is chambered for .45 Colt ammunition. It has a 4.75 inch barrel and a six-shot cylinder. The frame is made from steel and the grip is made from polymer. The gun has a blued finish that protects it from rust and corrosion.

The 1873 Rawhide is a replica of the Colt 1873 Single Action Army revolver. The Colt 1873 was the gun that won the West. It was used by cowboys, lawmen, and outlaws alike. The Colt 1873 was even used by soldiers in the Indian Wars and World War I.

The Traditions 1873 Rawhide has an authentic look and feel. It has a traditional Western-style grip that fits comfortably in your hand. The gun also has a fixed front sight and a rear notch sight that provides a clear sight picture.

One of the best things about the Traditions 1873 Rawhide is its safety features. The gun has a transfer bar safety system that prevents accidental discharge. The transfer bar system ensures that the hammer can only strike the firing pin when the trigger is pulled. This makes the gun safe to carry with all six chambers loaded.

The 1873 Rawhide is a great gun for shooting enthusiasts and anyone who loves the Old West. It is accurate, reliable, and easy to use. It is also a fun gun to shoot at the range or on the ranch.

In conclusion, the Traditions 1873 Rawhide revolver is a faithful reproduction of the Colt 1873 Single Action Army revolver. It has an authentic look and feel while offering modern safety features. It is a great gun for shooting enthusiasts, collectors, and anyone who loves the Old West.

Pietta 1873 SAA .22 LR 5.5 in.

Beautiful workmanship, comparable to Uberti. Deep charcoal bluing with single-piece wood grip. No "patent" markings. Only markings are Pietta proofs and Cabela's import markings on the underside of the barrel. Silky action and smooth trigger wit

Great Firearm

I just picked up one of these recently after watching a few Hikok45 videos on cowboy-action revolvers. What can I say? This gun is outstanding. For under $500, its rare to see a firearm made with this level of quality, and if you're interested in old-west

I like this weapon

I have had this pistol for a few years bought it from Cabella's You can't go wrong for the money.Shoots straight works like a no frills SA revolver should.I would have given 5 stars except the ejector rod is a little uncomfortable with cheap ammo.

Looks Good, Poor performance

Fired about thirty rounds through it and the gun quit firing. Something is broken in the firing mechanism that keeps the firing pin from operating.

Not like any other single action

Trigger is to far forward in the trigger guard makes the gun feel more like a double action than a single six . Not like the weapon pictured nor the weapon photo on the box the gun was in when purchased.

One Solid Revolver

I bought one of these yesterday and shot it today. Pietta must have fixed the front sight because mine shoots dead on. The fit and finish is excellent. It is beautifully blued. It is all steel and feels very very solid. It is my new favorite 22 revolver.

Great Purchase

Great .22 single action revolver for the money. It's very nice looking and fit and finish was acceptable. The revolver was also pretty accurate for what it is with fixed sights. Bought this over the Ruger after comparing the two in the store and I couldn'

Ok product

Bought this gun to practice cowboy shooting in Feb 2015. Got it home. The next morning, got it out to clean and wipe the oil out and dry fired 3-5 times and the transfer bar broke. Brought the gun back to Cabela's in Tualatin and got a replacement. Qualit

Disappointing

Poor quality control. Shoots way low. Would have to grind off most of front sight to bring it up to point of aim. Rear barrel face is very rough. No chamfer at bore. Lead splatters everywhere inside of frame. I do not recommend this gun.

May Need Some Tweaking

Bought this hefty piece of iron in early Fall of 2013 at the Green Bay, Wisconsin store with the 4 3/4 inch barrel. As in other reviews, mine also shot about 6-8 inches low and about 3 inches to the left at 25 yards with the mag cylinder. Had to turn the
