When combined with the versatility of XD(M) Gear X-Tension (USPAT7191556) magazines, the XD(M) 3.8 Compact is ready for daily carry or a day on the range. Put in an X-Tension (USPAT7191556) magazine, and you have a 19 round full-sized 9mm pistol (16 rounds in .40SW, 13 rounds in .45ACP.) Use the flush-fitting 13 round magazine, and you have a Compact (11 rounds ?in .40SW, 9 rounds ?in .45ACP.) Like all XD(M)s, the XD(M) 3.8 Compact comes with three interchangeable backstraps, dovetail sights, mega-lock frame texturing, an ambidextrous magazine release, a multi-position frame rail, and a match grade barrel.Youll also find all the safety features that make the XD(M) a safe pistol in responsible hands. Great pistol! I carry it 5 days a week working uniformed law enforcement on the streets of Houston. I have never had any problems with it. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I always recommend it to folks who inquire about a small .45 ACP. striker fired

this is one hell of a pistol. i bought a .45 and love it. light recoil, very accurate and very concealable! buds was great as usual. i have owned twenty five /- pistols in my life and with out a doubt, i like the XD/M better than any of the others!

Awesome firearm! Not lightweight. Not too heavy, either. Over 600 rounds and not one FTF, FTL or FTE. Great accuracy! Nice 50 yards firearm! Recoil is minimal for a 45ACP. It will fire almost any brand of ammo you throw at it with ease. Great ergonomics.
