Built with a forged and carefully fitted national match frame and slide, the TRP has a match grade stainless steel barrel and a crisp 4.5 to 5 pound trigger pull. Get on target quickly with 3-dot tritium sights. A checkered mainspring housing, G10 grips and 20 LPI checkering on the front strap keeps the TRP in your hand and under control under the worst conditions. The extended and beveled magazine well permits lightning fast magazine swaps.

Excellent fit and finish. The most solidly built 1911 I have come across. Much better quality that my loaded model. The 20 lpi checkering is sharp at first, takes a little getting used to, but wouldn't have it any other way. Bud's delivers as promised.

Very nice, this 1911-A1 does live up to the hype that many people talk about. So far, this gun has gone through over 1000 rounds and not once has it ever malfunctioned. I recommend using Wilson Combat magazine "47D"

I think it does Springfield does not state anywhere if it does or does not have the ILS the owners manual covers all the 1911s and shows the ILS I suggest that you call springfield and ask Call 1-800-680-6866
