Detailed Review
The Ruger GP100 is a versatile and reliable revolver that has been a popular choice among gun enthusiasts for over 30 years. It was first introduced in 1985 and has since become a favorite of both law enforcement officers and civilians alike.
The GP100 is built on a sturdy, stainless steel frame that provides excellent durability and longevity. The design features a full-length underlug for added weight and balance, which helps to reduce recoil and improve accuracy. The grip is made of rubber and has a comfortable, ergonomic shape that fits well in most hands.
One of the key features of the GP100 is its adjustable sights. The front sight is a ramp-style blade that is easy to see and quick to acquire, while the rear sight is fully adjustable for windage and elevation. This makes it easy to achieve pinpoint accuracy at any range, whether you are shooting at a stationary target or engaging multiple targets in rapid succession.
The GP100 comes in a variety of barrel lengths, from the compact 3-inch model to the longer 6-inch version. This allows you to choose the perfect size for your intended use, whether you plan to use it for personal defense, hunting, or competition shooting. The shorter barrels are ideal for concealed carry, while the longer barrels provide better accuracy and velocity for longer-range shooting.
In terms of caliber, the GP100 is available in .357 Magnum and .22 LR. The .357 Magnum is a powerful round that offers excellent stopping power, making it a popular choice for self-defense and hunting. The .22 LR is a less powerful round that is better suited for plinking and target shooting, but it is also a good choice for training and practice.
The GP100 is known for its reliability and durability, with many owners reporting thousands of rounds fired without any issues. It is also easy to maintain and clean, with a simple design that allows you to take it apart and put it back together quickly and easily.
Overall, the Ruger GP100 is a high-quality revolver that offers excellent performance and versatility. Whether you are a seasoned shooter or just starting out, it is a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable and accurate handgun.

Blue GP100 4.2 inch barrel - solid. Love the blue finish on this model. Stock grip does soak up the recoil. Grips easy to change to smaller for carry or wood for a different look. Lock-up is tight, trigger DA is smooth on this example.

A very accurate and well made firearm. The trigger feels smooth and breaks well and the gun feels good in the hand. I added wood grips and fiber optic sights.
