This gun is the cannon of 45LC guns. It can be loaded to safely do anything a 44M can do, or shoot cowboy loads. The Bisley grip lessons the felt recoil nicly.

Beautiful gun! Haven't shot it yet but it looks even better than the pictures. Only negative is there are a few sharp edges that could have been smoothed a bit. Otherwise very nice action and trigger pull.

Ricky, yes, this "Ruger New Model Blackhawk Bisley Revolver" Chambers also line up unlike the "Old Model" as well.
Handle material
Mike, Ruger uses the Hardwood "Cocobolo" for these Grips.
Model 0470 is listed @ Ruger site with "rose wood" grips.

cylinder drag ?
Hi Lewis, If you are talking about the "drag marks" that develop around the cylinder from the locking pawl as it is used they are normal to all revolvers and are easily polished out on a stainless gun.

Yes it is "Pinned" Stephen. Hi-Viz has a fiber optic sight for this model.

Yes it will handle heavy loads in fact many reloading manuals list some 45LC loads as being only for the Ruger Blackhawk and the TC
