Detailed Review
The Remington 783 is a bolt-action rifle that offers excellent performance and accuracy at an affordable price. It was introduced in 2013 as a replacement for the Remington 770, and it quickly gained popularity among hunters and shooters. One of the standout features of the Remington 783 is its barrel. It comes in 22, 24, and 26-inch lengths, and it is free-floating, meaning that it does not touch the stock. This design allows for consistent accuracy and less interference from the stock. The barrel is also button-rifled, which means that it has grooves cut into it that spiral down the length of the barrel to impart spin on the bullet, which stabilizes it in flight. The Remington 783 also features a synthetic stock that is designed for durability and comfort. It is available in several different finishes, including black, brown, and camo. The stock has a textured finish that provides a sure grip even in wet or slippery conditions. In terms of accuracy, the Remington 783 is hard to beat. It has a robust receiver that is machined from solid steel, and it is designed to handle high-pressure cartridges. The rifle also features a cross-bolt safety that is easy to operate and provides added peace of mind when handling the firearm. The Remington 783 is available in several different calibers, including .243 Win, .270 Win, .308 Win, 7mm Rem Mag, and .30-06 Springfield. This range of options makes it suitable for hunting everything from small game to large game. Overall, the Remington 783 is an excellent rifle that offers unbeatable accuracy and performance at a competitive price point. Whether you are a seasoned hunter or a novice shooter, this gun is sure to impress.

October 15, 2018Gun is great..scope is junk.
I bought this for my teen daughter to use whitetail hunting. The price was good, I bought Hornady Lite recoil ammo for it. But the scope that comes on the gun is worthless. To me the 'combo' is very deceiving. I spent $350. for this. Then put a $300. scop

September 27, 2018Horrible rifle!
I purchased the 783 heavy barrel model in .223. First fault with the rifle is the action. It takes brute force to get this to load and unload. Second is the magazine. You cant load any more then one round in it or it will throw the other rounds in the cha

March 9, 2018poor quality
The problem with the Remington 783 300 mag. is the clip. You can load the clip with 3 shells place clip in the gun pull the bolt back and all the shells pop out of the gun.I can't believe a major gun co. would make a poor designed clip for a nice 300 mag

March 5, 2018Fairly Decent Rifle
Got this as a .308. First thing I did before firing was to change scope to a 4-12x40 Nikon. Tried 4 different boxes of ammo and seems to like Remington brand the best. At least had the tightest grouping of 1/4 to 1/2 MOA while sighting in and after about

January 18, 2018Can't argue for the price
I bought this in 7mm mag and it gets the job done. I may have got a bad scope but it won't even hold up to a pellet gun. Changed it after about 40 rounds and with the new scope, it's dead nuts. The barrel does heat up rather quickly, for the larger calibe

The Remington 783 is a good rifle for a great price. It's perfect for a beginning hunter or a good bolt action for the range. I bought one in 308 and it is a great shooter. My mom even took a couple shots.

December 24, 2017I have a 783 in. 308 it is a great gun. It has shoots very good groups for the price you are paying. The only thing I don't like about the gun is the scope. The scope that comes with the gun is not good. When I went to sight it in I used a box and a half

December 13, 20173 Rounds to Sight In
I bought this particular rifle in .270 for Deer Hunting in Wisconsin because I've seen deer just out of range for my 30-30. Although this rifle comes with a scope, I opted to put on a Bushnell, Trophy XLT 3x9-40.

December 5, 2017783 in 270
Bought this rifle 2 months ago and on my first afternoon out I took an 11 point, my personal best buck. This gun is very accurate and in 270 I have not noticed much recoil shooting 140 grain BTs. It shoots .5 inch groups with 3 shots at 100 yards.

Bought this rifle when it was on sale and had a $50 rebate. For the price I wasn't expecting a whole lot. I was blown away by how accurate this gun is. It shoots extremely tight groups and that's with a cheapy scope that came with it. I have recently upgr

Remington produced a great rifle in the 783 model. It is rugged and wildly accurate. I'm very pleased with the rifle. I read the other reviews about folks not liking the scope; it works perfectly for me, yes its a no name scope but is very accurate. I eas
