Detailed Review
The Smith & Wesson M64 is a revolver that has been in production from 1970 to 2004, with a total of 46,906 units produced. It was marketed as a law enforcement tool, and it quickly became popular in that field due to its reliability and simplicity.
The M64 featured a four-inch barrel, a six-shot cylinder, and a square butt grip frame. The gun was made entirely out of stainless steel, which made it resistant to rust and corrosion, making it ideal for use in harsh environments.
The M64 uses the .38 Special round, which is a popular cartridge for law enforcement and self-defense purposes. The gun can fire both standard pressure and +P rounds, providing versatility in ammunition selection.
One of the most unique features of the M64 is its sights. Unlike most revolvers, which use a blade front sight and a fixed rear sight, the M64 features an adjustable rear sight that can be adjusted for windage and elevation. This makes it easier to achieve accurate shots at longer ranges.
The M64 was also available with a range of grips, including rubber grips that provided a comfortable and secure hold on the gun, even in wet or slippery conditions.
Overall, the Smith & Wesson M64 is a reliable and accurate revolver that was designed with law enforcement in mind. Its rugged construction and adjustable sights make it a popular choice for those who require a dependable firearm for self-defense or duty use.

This gun is great! Cocking the hammer is crips unlike any other revolver I have shot. The lockup on each chamber is perfect and just right! It does not weigh a lot just the right amount. I have sold a lot of my guns but I will not be selling this one for

October 23, 2017Nice piece of hardware. My first handgun, it is a decent weight. Lighter than I expected. The 4” barrel gives it a good balance. Recoil is minimal. For a S&W, the price was right, too. Will be my favorite for a long time.

October 6, 2017This is a great service revolver. Shoots to point of aim, trigger pull is acceptable for a newly manufactured revolver, and the factory rubber grips fit my hand perfectly. A+++
