December 19, 2018Excellent for small female!
I am a small (5'3", 110 lbs) female. This was a joy to shoot and handle, due to the weight and length. And it is beautiful. My husband (regular sized guy) also loved it. Consider it for several reasons.

This is a very nice shotgun that gives you a lot for your money. Nice to carry in the field and found no issues with this shotgun.

October 1, 2018Failure to Fire
I like the balance and appearance of this gun. Trigger is on the heavy side, but breaks cleanly. Unfortunately, it's a coin toss whether or not it will go "bang" when you pull the trigger. Glaring problem like this should have been caught in Qua

August 24, 2018Not reliable
I got this 20 gauge and both barrels went off several times. Then the trigger jammed. Sent back to Savage for repair and they said it was fixed. Then took my son hunting and we got on birds. I told my son to shoot and the trigger jammed again. I had to br

July 31, 2018Good value in an over and under
This gun is designed for the everyday person to afford and shoot. It shoots well and is sturdy. Very pleased with what it provides for the price. Do not buy this and expect the quality and feel of a $2,000 over and under. It is exactly what it is priced f

I just bought one in the youth model 20 gauge. The trigger is so hard that my daughter complains about a blister forming on her finger.

I was looking for a reasonably priced O/U to shoot sporting clays and upland birds and I bought the Stevens model 555 Silver based on reviews I read. Fact is I couldn't be happier! It's light, swings easily and shoots great! It performs as well as any of

May 16, 2018Ideal light weight upland gun
Bought this in February and finally had a chance to test it shooting sporting clays. I purchased this primarily for grouse hunting and was looking for a light weight o/u. I have been hunting with a 12 gauge Ruger Red Label for 17 years and the past few ye

March 7, 2018Great gun for the price
The other 5 star reviews are accurate. Right out of the box the gun is stiff. If you don’t open the breech fully it may not reset properly which allows both barrells to go off at the same time.

February 17, 2018Good over/under
I recently purchased the Stevens 555 in 20 gauge to replace my 70 year old 20 gauge pump gun. There are many things I like about this gun. The fit and finish as well as the quality of the wood is very good for the price. The selective trigger and selectiv
