Detailed Review

The Ruger LCR 5428 is a compact revolver that is known for its reliability, accuracy, and ease of use. It has a unique design that features a polymer frame and a stainless steel barrel and cylinder. This combination makes the gun lightweight and easy to handle while also providing durability and strength. The gun is suitable for both concealed carry and home defense.

The LCR 5428 has a 5-round capacity and fires .38 Special +P rounds. The gun features a double-action-only (DAO) trigger that is smooth and consistent. This type of trigger allows for quick follow-up shots and is ideal for self-defense situations. The trigger pull weight of the gun is around 10 pounds, which is on par with other revolvers in its class.

The sights on the LCR 5428 are highly visible and easy to acquire. The gun features a pinned ramp front sight and a U-notch rear sight that is adjustable for windage and elevation. The gun also has a wide fluted cylinder that aids in quick load and unload times.

The grip on the LCR 5428 is designed to provide excellent control and comfort. The gun features an Hogue Tamer grip that has a soft rubber texture and a cushioned insert that absorbs recoil. The grip also has a finger groove that provides a natural point of aim and enhances accuracy.

One of the standout features of the LCR 5428 is its overall size and weight. The gun weighs in at just 13.5 ounces, making it one of the lightest revolvers on the market. This makes it easy to carry in a pocket or purse without causing discomfort or fatigue. However, the lightweight design does not compromise the gun's performance or reliability.

In conclusion, the Ruger LCR 5428 is a high-quality revolver that is reliable, accurate, and easy to use. Its lightweight design, excellent grip, and highly visible sights make it an excellent choice for concealed carry and home defense. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced shooter, the LCR 5428 is a gun that is sure to impress.

Excellent snub nose 38

I actually purchased the LCRx with the exposed hammer and I'm glad I did. Both single and double action are great. Very accurate little revolver, don't let anyone tell you it isn't. You can definitely tell a difference when using the P+ amm

Excellent pocket/purse gun

Gave my wife’s LCR to my sister so I had to get a new one for my wife. She loves this little gun and with the Lasermax laser she feels very comfortable carrying this for protection.

Good gun

Nice trigger pull. Light, good grip, easy to eject shells. Get a good pocket holster and it disappears in your pocket. Remember it’s a close combat weapon, but with practice you’ll be hitting targets at 25 yards or better.

Great company but not sure about this gun

I bought a lcr 38 brand new. It worked fine for about 300 rounds, then the trigger was not engaging the cylinder and turning it. I sent it back in for repair and it was fixed but never felt the same like when it was new. The repair was that trigger broke

Lightweight beyond belief

I bought this one for my wife to shoot. Arthritic hands manage a lot of rounds accurately. This is nearly the most perfect revolver I've ever shot, in 70 years. I am planning on one or two more. It is very accurate, and it weighs about the same as a

A cool little revolver!

When I saw the new styled revolver called the Ruger LCR I know I wanted one. Before I went down to Academy Sports to pick one up I only had automatic handguns. Now I have a cool double action revolver in my collection. The gun is slick with the comfortabl

Another great Ruger product

Smoothest DA trigger I've ever used. Very accurate, shot very tight groups despite short barrel (I did upgrade to a fiber optic sight though). No malfunctions of any kind (probably 800-1000 rounds fired), light weight and relatively easy to conceal,

Best snubbie out there

Ya, ya, it rattles when you shake it, but it's still quieter than me. Ya, ya, it only hold 5 rounds. Ya, ya, wheel guns aren't in vogue, BUT It is uncomplicated. It goes bang when you pull the trigger. It is very light weight. It has lots of acc

Good handling and firing pistols but rattles

This gun shoots well but has a loud rattle when shaken.  I did not notice the rattling until after firing around 25 shots in it.  Call Ruger and they said that the rattling is normal it's the trigger guard before purchasing it sha
