About Remington Versa Max Waterfowl 81048

Versa Max shatters convention and all previous benchmarks for reliability with an action unlike any that have come before it. Proven in the field and in extreme tests of endurance with thousands of test rounds, it cycles 12-gauge loads with ultimate consistency, softer recoil and less maintenance many other shotguns. The Versa Max reliably cycles 12-gauge rounds from 2 3/4" to 3 1/2" magnum. Versa port gas system regulates cycling pressure based on shell length which reduces recoil to that of a 20-gauge. This shotgun features a synthetic stock, fore-end with over molded grips, drilled and tapped receiver, enlarged trigger guard opening and larger safety for easier use with gloves. Nickel Barrel and Nickel Teflon plated internal components offer extreme corrosion resistance. The Versa Max Waterfowl comes in Mossy Oak Duck Blind, Realtree Max-5 Camo and Waterfowl Camo. Model includes 4 Pro Bore Extended Choke Tubes (IC, Mod, Full and Extra Full). It is available in left hand model.

Fantastic Waterfowl/Turkey Gun

I bought this gun during the 2014-15 waterfowl season, when I was having problems with my other shotgun. I pretty much hunt everything in the area with this gun. Ducks, Geese, Dove, Pheasant, Quail, and Turkey. For waterfowl and turkey hunting, this is ar

I've had this shotgun for years now and have put many cases of ammo through it during that time. I lost a bolt handle which Remington replaced free of charge and snapped the arm on the back of the bolt which Remington also replaced for free. Can't say eno

Fantastic Gun

I bought this gun 2 years ago and have put it through its courses. Trap league, numerous bird hunts, North Dakota, you name it... And I am yet to have a jam. Hunted in horrible weather, cold, wet, and still it never misses a beat. Shoulders exactly like a

Shoots well, but poor quality

I love the way the gun feels and shoots, very minimal recoil. However, after shooting only 3 shells of 3.5" steel BB's, the barrel had what appeared to be deep gouges down the entire bore. At first I thought it was wad fouling, but after 15 minutes w

Great Gun

I bought my Remington Versa Max when they first came out and I am very pleased with the performance of it. Only downside is the fore end is loose from their design I wish they would fix that.

Beats Benelli hands down!

I have had two Benelli SBE II shotguns both of which would not cycle and ruined more than one hunt. I had the opportunity to get a Versa Max and took it and I must say I am very pleased. Initially the gun was not perfect, but the manual says if it is not

Softest Shooting Gun

This is the softest shooting 12 gauge I have ever shot. I own both this gun and the Beretta A400 Xtreme. I hands down will grab this gun first. The padded comb, over sized safety, bolt handle, and bolt release make this gun easy to use with gloves (or col

I have hunted a full season of ducks and geese with this gun and I could not be happier with it. I have fed it all different types and sizes of shells seeing if I could get it to jam, but it never will. The recoil is next to nothing even with 3.5" ma
