Excellent for home defense! The shotgun arrived at my FFL in excellent shape. After taking delivery, I gave the gun a good looking over. Finish was excellent throughout the entire gun. The ghost ring sights are very well made and had no flaws to speak of.

Received my Mossberg 500 model 54300 from ffl and ghost ring rear sight was broken if. Unfortunately I did not realize that the rear sight was broken until after my FFL had already called in the transfer. Therefore I was not able to return the shotgun to

Rather disappointed with this shotgun. The first thing I noticed was that the forend has a nylon strap attached underneath with four screws; this was not depicted in the description. It may have functionality for some users, but to me it just looks silly.
