Detailed Review

The Winchester Model 1873 Sporter 534228140 is a lever-action rifle that blends classic American craftsmanship with modern technology. This rifle is designed to commemorate the legendary Winchester Model 1873, which was produced from 1873 to 1919 and is widely regarded as one of the most important rifles in American history.

The Winchester Model 1873 Sporter 534228140 features a Grade III walnut stock and fore-end with a satin finish. The stock has an elegant pistol grip and a crescent-shaped buttplate that is faithful to the original Model 1873 design. The receiver is made from precision-milled steel and has a blued finish. The receiver is also drilled and tapped for scope mounts, making it easy to add a modern optic to this classic rifle.

The barrel of the Winchester Model 1873 Sporter 534228140 is 24 inches long and has a half-octagon, half-round profile. The barrel is also button-rifled and has a 1:10 twist rate, making it capable of exceptional accuracy. The rifle has an overall length of 43 inches and weighs approximately 8.5 pounds, making it easy to carry in the field or at the range.

The Winchester Model 1873 Sporter 534228140 is chambered in .45 Colt, a classic revolver cartridge that is still popular among handgun enthusiasts and cowboy action shooters. The rifle has a tubular magazine that holds 13 rounds of .45 Colt ammunition, allowing for plenty of firepower in a compact package.

The Winchester Model 1873 Sporter 534228140 also features a modern safety system that ensures safe operation while still retaining the classic look and feel of the original Model 1873. The rifle has a rebounding hammer that prevents firing unless the trigger is pulled, and a cross-bolt safety that prevents accidental discharge.

Overall, the Winchester Model 1873 Sporter 534228140 is a beautiful and functional rifle that pays homage to one of the most iconic firearms in American history. Whether you are a collector, a hunter, or a shooter, this rifle is sure to impress.

Jose B on

I've went and fired my rifle three times now and this thing is about everything I've ever wanted out of a Winchester Repeating Rifle. I bought this rifle because I've always like the guns of the Old West and thought I'd have this as my first firearm. Shoo
