Detailed Review

Smith & Wesson, a legendary American firearms company, has been producing some of the finest revolvers for over a century. Among its most popular models is the Smith & Wesson 686 Plus, a versatile and reliable revolver that is perfect for both self-defense and target shooting.

The Smith & Wesson 686 Plus is a six-shot revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, which is a powerful round that delivers excellent stopping power. The gun features a stainless steel frame and barrel, which are very durable and resistant to corrosion. The revolver also has a comfortable grip made of synthetic materials that provide a secure hold even in wet or slippery conditions.

One of the distinctive features of the Smith & Wesson 686 Plus is the adjustable rear sight, which allows the shooter to fine-tune the aim for maximum accuracy. This makes the revolver ideal for target shooting, as well as for hunting small game or varmints.

Another advantage of the Smith & Wesson 686 Plus is its smooth trigger pull, which requires only a light amount of pressure to fire. This makes it easy to shoot accurately and quickly, even for novice shooters. The revolver also has a double-action trigger mechanism, which means that pulling the trigger will both cock and release the hammer, making it faster to fire successive shots.

The Smith & Wesson 686 Plus is also a very safe gun to use. It has a manual safety lever located on the left side of the frame, which prevents accidental firing. Additionally, it has a transfer bar safety system, which ensures that the gun can only fire when the trigger is fully depressed.

Overall, the Smith & Wesson 686 Plus is an excellent revolver that combines performance, versatility, and reliability. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced shooter, this gun is sure to deliver exceptional results in any shooting situation.

To keep it brief, this is my second 686 purchase and I absolutely love it. Having purchased a 4” I wanted something more compact but capable of the same power and this 2.5” exceeds my expectations. The beefiness is there but in a compact package. If you a

S&W Quality

Another quality revolver from S&W. 7 round capacity makes it even better. What a line up; 500, 460, 629, 686+, and a 19. Each one a joy to shoot. I had a grip problem with my 629 and was sent a replacement immediately by S&W. Excellent quality and

Good Gun

I bought the 686-6 + a couple of months ago. I took it out to the range to sight it in after having it a week. The sight elevation screw was locked up and would not adjust the sight - brand new out of box. Windage worked fine. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Quality revolver

Overall I love this revolver. It has an adjustable rear sight (both elevation and windage) with just a flat head screwdriver. The rubber grips are pretty comfortable and have a lot of grip. The orange painted front sight is plenty visible. Nice trigger, I

Beast of a revolver

Just picked up my new 686 revolver from Cabelas. I have fired approximately 100 rounds of 38 special +P and some 357 jacketed hollow points. Recoil of the 38 specials was negligible and accuracy was excellent even with a 3 inch barrel. The 357 loads were

Solid weapon

You can't beat a dependable wheel gun. It is built very solidly. It fit's my hand well, It's as accurate as the person behind it. I can hit a 8" target consistently at 30 yards. You don't need to worry about a miss feed. Seven shots of 357 is more th
