About Savage Arms Axis 19642
Axis rifles save money without sacrificing performance. Savage didn't design a cheaper rifle; they designed a better way to make a Savage, including pillar-bedded barrels with more uniform cooling and greater consistency. These left-handed Axis rifles feature a modern design with silky-smooth bolt operation and a detachable box magazine. Drilled and tapped for scope mounts, these standard models have a black synthetic stock coupled with a 22" matte black carbon steel barrel to allow for multi-purpose shooting in multiple locales.

It's a solid rifle at a reasonable price. My only issue with it is that it won't eject a shell. It doesn't matter if I work the bolt hard or gently, it'll extract it but then it just sits in the chamber. I've taken to working the bolt and flipping the rif
