Detailed Review
Savage Arms 64 is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle that is designed for both beginners and seasoned hunters who are looking for a reliable, accurate, and affordable rifle. The rifle is available in different models, including the 64 F, 64 FV-SR, and 64 TR-SR, among other variations.
The Savage Arms 64 is built on a black synthetic stock that is not only durable but also lightweight, making it easy to carry around during hunting expeditions. The rifle has a straight blowback action that delivers consistent cycling, and its barrel is made of carbon steel, which ensures longevity.
The 64 F model has a 21-inch barrel, while the 64 FV-SR and the 64 TR-SR have shorter barrels of 16.5 inches. The shorter barrels make these rifles great for those who hunt in wooded areas or in situations where maneuverability is essential.
The Savage Arms 64 has a detachable box magazine that can hold up to ten rounds, allowing hunters to fire multiple shots without having to reload. Additionally, the rifle has a cross-bolt safety that prevents accidental discharge, and its trigger pull is adjustable to suit different preferences.
One of the most significant advantages of the Savage Arms 64 is its accuracy, thanks to its adjustable rear sight and ramp front sight system. These sights enable hunters to aim accurately at targets and hit them with pinpoint precision, even at longer ranges.
The 64 FV-SR model comes with a threaded barrel that allows hunters to attach a suppressor, making it one of the quietest rimfire rifles in the market. This feature makes it an excellent choice for varmint hunting or shooting in areas where noise is a concern.
The Savage Arms 64 is also very easy to clean and maintain. Its bolt is removable for easy cleaning, and the rifle's synthetic stock does not require any special treatment to keep it in top shape.
In conclusion, the Savage Arms 64 is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable, accurate, and affordable rimfire rifle. It is built to last, easy to use, and versatile enough to handle various hunting scenarios.
