I have lots of precision rifles and most are good and some great. This one is great. Any 223 handloads I feed it shoot well. I couldn’t get along with the buttstock so I replaced it with a magpul prs. So pleasant to shoot and if I hold it still it punches

January 22, 2019Ruger Precision 223 rifle is worth every penny. Right out of the box, .5 MOA at 100 yards and 1.5 moa at 200 yards. This is an awesome rifle. Buds had it available and at a very cheap price. Thank you Buds for making it affordable and fast shipping.

January 22, 2019First rifle I have ordered from Buds. Was completely surprised how fast the shipped it. Had the gun in 4 days. Very smooth transaction. As for the gun, shoot 1 moa so far which is ok, Hopefully will tighten up as i put rounds through it (only has 45 round

January 22, 2019I like this rifle very much. I am by no means an expert marksman, i have only recently got into the precision rifle game. After becoming familiar with this rifle (about 60 shots of 5 different ammo). I was able to consistently shoot 1 to .5 moa with the b

December 28, 2018The Ruger Precision Rifle in 5.56 Nato is well designed and well thought out. For a tall guy like me with extra long arms, it's nice to have a rifle that can be adjusted to fit right out of the box without having to add a lot of spacers. I just wish I cou

May 12, 2018I now own all three Ruger Precision Rifles. I have to admit, I bought this one because I have a lifetime supply of ammo for it. It is not longer listed as available on the Ruger Website and when I spoke to Ruger folks at the recent NRA meeting in Dallas,

April 27, 2018Excited about the gun.Used vortex 1.46 scope rings and works perfect with vortex 50 mm viper.Still working on a load for hornaday 75 grain HPBT, the worst are at an inch and a lot of 3’s and 4’s.

February 1, 2018Purchased on from Bud's, received it in the same week of purchase. Service was excellent. This made my second RPR ownership, my first one is in 6.5 Creedmoor. Got it on paper with Federal 55 grain factory ammo with surprising accuracy and consistency. Wit

May 21, 2017Rifle shipped quickly to my FFL from Bud's. Upon arriving home, I discovered the muzzle break was not properly timed and the folding stock mechanism had a rub when fully folded closed - neither Bud's fault but a disappointing display of QC from Ruger. Rif

May 16, 2017I love Ruger rifles and this one does not disappoint, it was a few days after receiving my rifle before I could get to the range but after mounting a Leupold tactical scope and grabbing some different types of ammunition off we went. At the range she func

cancelled
Cancelling an order on an in stock rifle seems odd to me. Did Buds give you a reason if you don't mind me asking?
Ruger RPR 223 line up discontinuation
Hi Lem, Thanks for the information
Is this the new gen 2 or older model?
The UPC code is of a mid/late 2016 manufacture so I would say it's safe to assume Gen 1. Shame that Buds probably won't know Edward.
Caliber and Magazines.
This is chambered to use 223/5.56 (the only difference is about 5 grains of powder and a slightly longer leade in the barrel), Yes, the mag will fit.
