Detailed Review

The Ruger Mini-30 is a semi-automatic rifle that was first introduced in 1987. It is a variation of the popular Ruger Mini-14, but it fires the 7.62x39mm cartridge instead of the 5.56x45mm cartridge used by the Mini-14. This makes it a more powerful rifle with better stopping power than its predecessor.

The Mini-30 has a rugged design that makes it suitable for use in harsh environments. Its receiver is made from heat-treated carbon steel, and the stock is constructed from rugged synthetic materials that can withstand the elements. This makes it ideal for use in hunting or other outdoor activities.

The rifle has a detachable box magazine that holds either 5 or 20 rounds, depending on the shooter's preference. It also features an adjustable rear sight and a protected blade front sight that are perfect for quick target acquisition.

The Mini-30 is equipped with a Garand-style safety that is located on the right side of the receiver. This safety is easy to operate and can be engaged quickly, making it a safe and reliable firearm to use in any situation.

The rifle's overall length is 37.5 inches, making it a compact and lightweight weapon that can be easily carried on hunts or hikes. It weighs in at just over 7 pounds, making it a comfortable gun to shoot for extended periods of time.

The Mini-30 is a versatile rifle that can be used for a variety of purposes. It is particularly well-suited for hunting and target shooting, but it can also be used for self-defense if necessary. It is a reliable and efficient firearm that is sure to impress anyone who uses it.

I bought this and it eats TULA 154Gr. ammo with no problems . I basically got it for a SHTF situation but I am certain that it could harvest deer with no issues. In all honesty , I have enough Ruger deer rifles to justify not taking

This is a fine gun for what it's designed for. It functions quite well with no issues. Stock sights are fairly accurate to 300 yds with Wolf polyformance 125 gr ammo

I no longer own this gun for a number of reasons. It would only take Ruger metal mags and were$$.No aftermarket .They were also hard to insrt and lock in place . Rifle would jam often and the accuracy with open sights was "iffy". It's a really cool looki

My Dad has this rifle, and after shooting his, I had to have one. My Dad and I both like the thicker barrel and muzzle-flash on this model. It looks and shoots great. Thank you, Buds and staff. Derrick

As usual, Bud's service was great. My Mini 30 took two days to arrive and picked up on day three. I saved $85 by buying from Bud's. I'm spoiled. I bought a Ruger Mini 30 and am in love with it. I don't know why I waited so long to get back into rifles. Th

John, these will not be a problem in the mini 30. You will be surprised at how little accuracy variance you will get as well. I have shot it all in my Mini-30 with no issue whatsoever. I also stocked up on this a long time ago : hornady.com/ammunition/rif
