The Rossi is a great buy,What I found the 243W works well in a heaver bullet 95 & 100Gr ,will not do well in the lighter Varmint loads. Now in 7mm/08 is a Joy to shoot and will handle 120gr-139-sst,140gr loads, as for the sling mounts(I would replace them

A very well made utilitarian arm. The .22LR chambering is excellent for small game and plinking. The 12 gauge is fine for wing/deer hunting; I especially like it for Turkey Shoots.
