A fine firearm, solid and well made. Looks good and fires just as good. This rifle can handle anything the North American continent can dish out. Throwing a 405 grain piece of lead downrange sure increases respect for a firearm.

Yes Buffalo bore ammo is compatible in this gun. This gun is chambered in 45-70 so, therefore any modern 45-70 ammo is compatible. The only 45-70 guns not compatible with modern ammo are pre 1900.
