Detailed Review

The FN FNX-45 Tactical is a polymer-framed, full-size pistol chambered in .45 ACP. It is a continuation of the FNP series, but with some improvements and upgrades. It is designed for military and law enforcement use and is also popular among civilians who appreciate its reliability, accuracy, and versatility. The FNX-45 Tactical has a 5.3-inch barrel that is cold hammer-forged and stainless steel. This barrel gives the pistol a long sight radius, which enhances its accuracy. The slide is also made of stainless steel and features front and rear cocking serrations, which provide a good grip when manipulating the slide. The sights are adjustable, and the rear sight is mounted on a dovetail, which allows for easy adjustment. One of the most notable features of the FNX-45 Tactical is its frame-mounted manual safety. This safety is ambidextrous and can be engaged and disengaged easily with either hand. It provides an additional level of safety when carrying the pistol and allows the shooter to carry the pistol safely with a loaded chamber. The FNX-45 Tactical also has a firing pin block safety and a trigger safety, which together ensure that the pistol will not fire unless the trigger is pulled. Another important feature of the FNX-45 Tactical is its fully adjustable backstrap. The pistol comes with two interchangeable backstraps that allow the shooter to customize the grip to their hand size for better comfort and control. The grip itself is textured, providing a good grip even when the hands are wet or sweaty. The FNX-45 Tactical has a double-action/single-action trigger system. The first shot is fired in double-action mode, which requires a longer and heavier trigger pull. The subsequent shots are fired in single-action mode, which requires a shorter and lighter trigger pull. This trigger system allows for a fast and accurate follow-up shot. The FNX-45 Tactical also has a threaded barrel, which allows for the attachment of suppressors and other muzzle devices such as flash hiders or compensators. The pistol comes with a thread protector that can be easily removed when attaching a suppressor. The pistol also has a Picatinny rail for mounting lights, lasers, or other accessories. The FNX-45 Tactical comes with three 15-round magazines, which provide a high capacity for a .45 ACP pistol. The magazines are made of stainless steel and are also compatible with the FNP series of pistols. They feature witness holes that allow the shooter to easily check the remaining rounds. In conclusion, the FN FNX-45 Tactical is a reliable, accurate, and versatile pistol that is suitable for military, law enforcement, and civilian use. Its many features make it a great choice for anyone who needs a powerful and dependable sidearm.

My FAVORITE gun. Definitely a hand Cannon, but VERY shootable. Takes all ammo. Love the night sights, and capability to use Holographic sights and a suppressor.

I figured this to be the pinnacle of semi autos. To me it had everything I would need. Took it to the range, lots of FTF. I couldn’t believe it, a 1200 piece and it won’t feed properly. Ammo was not steel or reloads, this was factory new ammo. I then chec

You should have at least one

By far my favorite and yes I do conceal carry this remarkable piece of equipment. It is becoming less difficult to find holsters for.I learned in a video a few years back that instead of using the slide release that popping the mag in releases the slide i

I purchased the FNX tactical and though the reviews were all very good , that does not do this gun justice . This is without a doubt the best .45 I have ever fired. I by no means am I an expert. But this gun along with a red dot that readily attaches is t

By far the best!

I purchased this firearm and have put at least 3500 rounds through it and zero failures. the sights are right on and the accuracy is amazing. It is pricy however you get what you pay for. It breaks down easy, is simple to clean and maintain. My favorite h

Satisfied Shooter

The FNX 45 was my third FN firearm and while I found the operation flawless and pistol to be very accurate I was disappointed with the finish on the top of the barrel. The top of the barrel where it interacts with the slide was scratched before I fired it

Easily the best .45 I've ever shot. It's as simple as that. From 1911s and Glock 21s, to a USP, I can't think of a .45 that comes close to the FNX. Price was $1077, and worth every dime. This sidearm is very large compared to counterparts, but worth it fo

It's just what you'd expect from FN, very high quality. The FNX-45 Tac has fed every type of ammo successfully. It is very accurate and has a great trigger. The trigger is smooth and crisp, with double action pull at 9lbs and single action at 4lbs. The fi

Definite one to own in collection

Took to range for first outing and was impressed. Zero feed, fire, or ejection failures. I followed advice I read and left mags fully loaded for several days. I usually shoot 1911's and found the grip angle very similar. At first shots were pulling to the

I Would Bet My Life On It

I bought my FNP .45 ACP in March of 2009. It came with one 15 rd. mag and two ten rd. mags. A week later I swapped some old AK47 type ammo for two more new 15 rd. mags. I traveled around several gun shops here in Columbia, SC to find the pistol. When I di

Feels like an 1911 handles like a 9mm

First time to the range I wanted to test accuracy and get a feel for how this baby operates. First test 5 shot groups at 10,15,and 25 yards. Well the first 5 shots I was amazed by low recoil. Groups at 10 and 15 was right at 2 inches. Which was OK but I w
