Anthony, the 316H comes with a "Heavy Barrel" which will heat up slower, it has a "Mid Length" instead of a "Carbine Length" Gas Tube, Carrier Interior Carrier Key - chrome lined, it also has better quality internal parts. It is worth the extra $.
