About CZ 550 American
The CZ 550 American has all the features of the CZ 550 Lux but in an American-styled package. This rifle was made with the American shooter in mind, featuring a classic satin finish American stock with walnut stain, 18 LPI checkering and a Pachmayer recoil pad. It features a Mauser-style claw extractor for positive loading and extraction and a compact trigger mechanism which can be used as a single stage or a single set trigger. The CZ 550 has a positive 2-position safety. All CZ 550s feature a classic square bridge receiver with a 19mm dovetail milled right into it for mounting your optics. For accuracy and long life these rifles are fitted with cold hammer-forged barrels that have been factory lapped.

Incredibly well made rifle. Very accurate 1 box of shells, last five rounds touching each other in the orange 1" disc at 100yds. My second CZ 550, have another in 9.3x62 and both are built like rifles should be, can't wait to take out some deer with this

I am very happy with this rifle. It has the nicest stock of any rifle I own. The trigger is perfect, and the workmanship is top notch. I have only worked up one load and shot it maybe 30 shots, but it seems to be doing well, under 1 1/2 inches at 100 yrds
