Detailed Review
The CVA Scout V2 is a reliable and accurate single-shot rifle that is perfect for hunting and target shooting. It features a sleek and modern design with a compact and lightweight build, making it easy to handle and carry in the field.
The Scout V2 is available in a variety of calibers, including .223 Remington, .243 Winchester, .308 Winchester, .35 Whelen, and .44 Magnum. This versatility allows hunters to choose the best cartridge for their specific needs and preferences.
The rifle boasts a durable synthetic stock that can withstand harsh weather conditions and rough handling. The stock also has a soft-touch coating that provides a comfortable grip and reduces recoil, making it easier to shoot accurately for extended periods.
Another notable feature of the CVA Scout V2 is its fluted stainless steel barrel, which improves accuracy by increasing rigidity and reducing weight. The barrel is also coated with CVA's Nitride treatment, which provides superior corrosion resistance and extends the life of the rifle.
The Scout V2 comes with a standard trigger that has a crisp break and a moderate pull weight. However, CVA offers an optional Accura V2 trigger upgrade that provides a more adjustable and precise trigger pull for enhanced accuracy.
In terms of optics, the rifle has a one-piece scope rail that can accommodate most standard scopes. It also has open sights that can be easily removed or adjusted as needed.
Overall, the CVA Scout V2 is an excellent choice for hunters and shooters who value accuracy, reliability, and versatility. Its durable and ergonomic design, along with its wide selection of calibers and optional upgrades, make it a top contender in its class.

I got this in .44 Magnum, and love it. I have tried 3 different brands of ammo with the same results. I did have trouble at first 7 found the factory installed base for the scope to be loose. Tightened it up, lock tite screws, and no issues since. This is

January 8, 2018Great shooter needed a little tweaking
Got this in .450BM. Found that the rear sling swivel stud was both a tad too thick and too tall to fully engage sling swivel. After sanding it down the swivel secures completely. Also filled the butt stock with low expansion foam and added a 1 lb. lead ba

Excellent shooting gun, keyholing bullseyes at 100 yards. Matched the gun with a top of the line optic. Invested the money that i saved on the gun into the optics. Dropped a Coyote at 150 yrds in its tracks and a whitetial at a 100yrds also. Low recoil an

May 27, 2017Good quality rifle for the price, just as good as more expensive branded bolt action stainless rifles. Plenty accurate for hunting within range of the 44 Magnum cartridge. I highly recommend this rifle if you only occasionally hunt and don't want to have

This is second Scout rifle I own. I have one of 1st generation in 30-06 shoots better than any rifle I own. I bought the New Scout V2 in 44 magnum and put Leopold VX2 3x9x40 on it and 5 shots and in the Bullseye. Looking forward to getting a buck with it.

Bought my Scout in 44 Mag after reading every review I could find on-line. I also hunt with a 44 Mag revolver and liked the fact that I could use the same ammo in either gun. Opening day last year right at dark I saw this eight point in a field at about 1

January 22, 2016Poor accuracy.
I bought two of these for my wife and myself. Mounted new Leupold scopes to them. We couldn't get any groups smaller than 3-4 inches at 100yds. We tried every ammo brand and weight out there. We tried different scopes and still couldn't get a decent group

June 9, 2015Great For The Cost
Got this is 35 Whelen and I'm pretty impressed with the rifle, especially when you consider the cost. The break open works well, the trigger is very similar to my Optima Pro with a nice crisp break without any take-up or over travel..I don't have a trigge
