Detailed Review

The CVA Hunter CR5711 is a break-action rifle designed for hunting and shooting enthusiasts. It comes in a variety of calibers to suit different needs, including .243 Win, .308 Win, .45-70 Govt, and .35 Whelen.

The rifle features a 22-inch barrel with a 1:10 twist rate, which makes it suitable for both short and long-range shots. The barrel is also fluted to reduce weight and aid in heat dissipation, which can help improve accuracy over time. Additionally, the rifle has a single-shot capacity, which means that hunters have to make every shot count.

The CVA Hunter CR5711 has a synthetic stock that is lightweight and durable. The stock is designed with an ambidextrous cheekpiece that allows both left- and right-handed shooters to comfortably use the rifle. The stock is also equipped with CrushZone technology, which helps reduce felt recoil by up to 50%. This can significantly increase shooter comfort and reduce fatigue during long shooting sessions or hunting trips.

The rifle has a scope mount base that is compatible with most aftermarket optics. The base is secured to the receiver using four screws, which ensures that the scope remains in place during recoil. The rifle also has a reversible hammer spur that allows shooters to quickly and safely cock the gun when necessary. And the firearm has a manual safety that prevents accidental discharges, adding an extra layer of protection for users.

In terms of accuracy, the CVA Hunter CR5711 has a reputation for being a reliable and precise firearm. Its barrel is made from cold hammer-forged steel, which is known for producing consistent and accurate shots. The rifle is also equipped with a DuraSight Dead-On scope mount that helps improve accuracy by providing a secure and stable platform for mounting a scope.

Overall, the CVA Hunter CR5711 is a high-quality rifle that is ideal for hunting and shooting sports. Its lightweight design, reduced recoil, and reliable accuracy make it a favorite among many hunters and shooting enthusiasts.

Awesome fun. Shoots true once sighted in properly. I didn’t keep it long but I enjoyed every minute I had with it. It’s a thumper on the table but standing upright takes the recoil down pretty well

I've wanted a .444 marlin for a long time but couldn't afford a $750.00 price tag folks want for a lever action model ( if I could one). I've used CVA rifles in the past and liked the quality for the Money spent. I really like this rifle...fit, finish an

Great gun for smaller hunters.

I got this CVA 308 for my 11 year old son for Christmas this year. I had it dead on with in three shots. His first shot was three inches low and the next two, he hit the center. He did not kill anything this year but the gun worked great and just the righ

Would buy other cva products

Bought this to have a truck/ranch gun. I have been target shooting for a few days to just shoot it. It has been a great consistent gun. Best rounds I've shot have been Herters, Remington and pmc fmj brass casings. All rounds have been 150 grain. Read

Misfires

Nice compact lightweight rifle. Purchased this past October for hunting from tree stands. But experienced occasional misfires while sighting in and once while hunting.

Best rifle I’ve ever owned.

I bought this rifle about three weeks ago. I took the Konus scope off, and replaced it with the Nikon Buckmasters II. Where I hunt, my farthest shot will be about 100 yards. I sighted it in, and have taken two deer with it already. I love the compact desi

Can't Go Wrong

I have bought two of these now. One for me and my wife liked it so much, one for her as well. Recoil was less than our Rem 700 ADL's w 26 inch barrel which was surprising. Unless you are doing some 400 plus long open range shooting I would recommend

For the money it's good

I got the CVA Hunter in .308 for 199.99. That's a good price, but I wouldn't pay a dime more for it.
