It's a decent budget AR for beginners but I would honestly suggest you save up and go with a Colt LE6920 if possible. I ended up tearing mine down and morphing it into 2 Franken gun builds.

Good "in-house" defense gun. It is also fun to plink with. I'd go M-15 if I was more into hunting but my 308 handles that job, so good gun to have around home
