Detailed Review

The Taurus 850 is a compact, lightweight revolver that is perfect for concealed carry. It has a 5-round capacity and is chambered in .38 Special +P. The 850 comes in several different variants, including the Ultra-Lite model, which features an aluminum alloy frame and weighs just 17 ounces.

One of the standout features of the Taurus 850 is its double-action only (DAO) trigger. This type of trigger system eliminates the need for a safety and provides a consistent trigger pull for each shot. Additionally, the 850 has a spurred hammer that can be manually cocked for single-action firing.

The 850 comes equipped with a fixed front sight and a fixed rear sight, both of which are dovetailed into the top strap of the frame. The sights are easy to acquire and provide a clear sight picture, even in low light conditions.

The grip on the Taurus 850 is made of rubber and features a ribbed texture for added grip. The grip is comfortable to hold and helps to mitigate recoil during firing. Additionally, the 850 comes with a rubberized grip extension that allows for a full three-finger grip on the firearm.

Overall, the Taurus 850 is an excellent choice for those looking for a compact, lightweight revolver for concealed carry. Its reliable DAO trigger, solid construction, and comfortable grip all make it a great value for its price point.

This is my second Taurus revolver. Unlike my 617, this little 850 is very light weight. At the range, I was surprised how well it shoots. Recoil is very manageable, despite the 2 inch barrel. It feels a bit cheap at first, but it's more that I'm used to h
