Detailed Review

The Savage Arms 12 FV is a bolt-action rifle designed for varmint hunting and target shooting. It features a heavy-contour barrel that is 26 inches long, which helps to stabilize the bullet and increase accuracy. The rifle also comes with Savage's AccuTrigger, which allows the shooter to adjust the trigger pull weight to their preference.

The 12 FV comes in several calibers, including .223 Remington, .22-250 Remington, .243 Winchester, and .308 Winchester. This makes it a versatile choice for hunters and shooters who prefer different cartridges.

The rifle has a synthetic stock that is designed to be durable and weather-resistant. It also has a detachable box magazine that can hold up to four rounds. The magazine release is located just in front of the trigger guard and can be easily accessed with your finger.

One of the standout features of the Savage Arms 12 FV is its accuracy. With the heavy barrel and AccuTrigger, the rifle is capable of producing sub-MOA (minute of angle) groups. This level of accuracy is highly desirable for varmint hunters and competitors who need to place shots precisely on small targets.

The rifle is also relatively affordable compared to other rifles in its class. While it's not the cheapest option on the market, it offers excellent value for the price.

In conclusion, the Savage Arms 12 FV is an excellent choice for hunters and shooters who want a versatile, accurate, and affordable rifle. Its heavy barrel, AccuTrigger, and synthetic stock make it a reliable and durable option for all types of weather conditions. If you're looking for a high-quality varmint rifle or target shooter, the 12 FV is definitely worth considering.

Great rifle for the money

Purchased the 12FV in 308 about a year ago. I love Savage rifles, great accuracy right out of the box, but the stock needs to be replaced. Did so with a laminated stock and added a Cabela's Covenant FFP scope. Love the MOA reticle with this rifle. I shoot

I purchased this rifle in 6.5 creedmoor. I added a vortex crossfire II scope and have only fired factory ammunition through it. It does not disappoint. My groups are constantly 1 MOA. The stock isn't the greatest, but for the price, you aren't going to fi

Great accuracy

Bought this rifle in 22-250 and it is very accurate, sub MOA with all 3 factory ammos I tried. It shoots Hornady 55gr #8337 well one hole groups at 100 yards. Will have to try another caliber somewhere down the road.

Very nice shooting gun! Trigger pull was good when I got it and didn't mess with it. Low recoil with a heavy barrel. Put a nice scope on it and use it for coon and coyotes.

12FV-OMG!

I purchased my 12FV 223 at the Scarborough store this Wednesday. I put a cheap box store 4-12x40 scope I had laying around on it today. Shooting factory 55 gr FMJBT at 200 yds, the groups holes were touching! Outstanding purchase and the sales team rocks!

Accutrigger Problems after 40 rounds

I was very excited about the rifle. Put 40 rounds through it and the accutrigger started jamming. I never adjusted the trigger from the factory settings. I cleaned the rifle and tighten up the accutrigger with the tool included following the owners manual
