About Savage Arms 12 F/TR 18890

Savage Target Series rifles are the farthest place in the line from beginner rifles. With dozens of decisive world-class titles, these are elite rifles for elite shooters. Anyone who shoots a rifle expects accuracy. But there is a special breed of accuracy enthusiast that forever chases the one-hole group. Once they attain it, they begin to chase that group at longer and longer ranges. The 12 Precision Target Series is where these guys are finally able to end their chase.

Detailed Review

Savage Arms 12 F/TR 18890 is a precision rifle that is designed to deliver reliable accuracy in long-range shooting. It is built to handle the rigors of competition shooting and is ideal for those who demand the best from their firearms.

The rifle features a heavy, stainless steel barrel that is fluted to reduce weight and dissipate heat. The barrel measures 30 inches in length and is chambered in .308 Winchester, which is a popular cartridge for long-range shooting. The barrel is also threaded to accommodate a suppressor or other muzzle device.

The action of the Savage Arms 12 F/TR 18890 is built on a sturdy, one-piece receiver that is machined from solid steel. The receiver features a floating bolt head that ensures consistent lockup and improved accuracy. The rifle also has a custom-designed trigger that is adjustable for both weight and pull, allowing shooters to tailor the trigger to their specific preferences.

The stock of the Savage Arms 12 F/TR 18890 is made from laminated wood and has an adjustable cheek rest and length of pull. The stock is designed to provide a stable platform for the shooter, with a wide forend and flat bottom that allows for consistent and repeatable shooting positions. The stock also has a recoil pad that helps absorb the recoil of the rifle, reducing fatigue and improving accuracy.

The Savage Arms 12 F/TR 18890 comes with a detachable box magazine that holds 4 rounds of ammunition. The magazine is easy to load and unload, and it securely locks into the rifle's well for reliable feeding. The rifle also has a three-position safety that allows shooters to safely load and unload the rifle without having to chamber a round.

Overall, the Savage Arms 12 F/TR 18890 is a high-quality precision rifle that is ideal for long-range shooting and competition. Its heavy barrel, sturdy receiver, and custom trigger make it a reliable and accurate rifle, while its adjustable stock and detachable magazine make it easy to customize for individual shooters.

Amazing rifle and worth the price. Topped it off with a nice Vortex high power scope and this thing can drive nails in at a few hundred yards no problem. Built for a thousand yard shot but haven't been able to test it that far yet. Great quality that you

Very nice rifle for the price. With hand loads, I have only shot at 100 yds, but I have shot as well as a .2" group. My last trip to the range averaged .625" over 5 5 shot groups. I am still very much working on form. In other words I have not reached the
