I picked up my Ruger Mini-14 this week from my local FFL. The gun was in perfect order. The Mini-14 is a solid, well built firearm. I took it to the range today and was not disappointed by the ease of operation. Fired a bunch of Winchester 556 FMJ target

Excellent rifle - a must-have for anyone who wants a .223 but doesn't want a 'black' gun. I live in Chicago, I would much rather have my Mini 14 held up in front of a jury than an AR-15. PS. I'm an NRA Life Member and member of my state assoc. ISRA.

California Compliant?

Yes, this is still CA compliant. Models with shroud/flash hiders will be affected by new law. The laws do not impact the the M1 carbine, Mini-14, M1A, and the like in the standard configuration. Brown is trying hard though.
