About Ruger M77 Hawkeye Compact 17110
Ruger M77 Hawkeye bolt-action rifles are designed to be instant classics. Built with versatility, style and performance in mind, these rifles features slim ergonomics, classic checkering of the walnut stock, and the LC6 trigger. In addition, these bolt-action rifles contain all the value-added characteristics of Ruger rifles: positive floor plate latch, integral scope mounts, three-position safety, hammer-forged barrels. This Compact model is a shortened version of the M77 Hawkeye Standard rifle, with a Black Laminate stock and Hawkeye Matte Stainless finish. It features a 16.5" barrel and short length of pull to create an extremely maneuverable rifle in brush or tight areas.

No complaints on this gun whatsoever. I have a 260 Rem that is identical and several other Ruger compacts. I love these guns they are my favorite model to hunt with by far and I have tried just about everything. Also this gun has the brushed stainless fin

This review is way over due. I purchased this Ruger back in 09. Love this gun. Shoots good for a shorty. Packs in light. Being an old guy now I appreciate the weight and the distance I walk with this firearm. Although I only took 1 seven pointer with it,
