Detailed Review
The Remington R51 is a semi-automatic pistol that was originally introduced in 2014. It is chambered in 9mm and features a single-stack magazine with a capacity of 7+1 rounds. The R51 was designed as a concealed carry pistol that is easy to shoot and has a slim profile for comfortable everyday carry.
One of the key features of the R51 is its low bore axis, which helps to reduce felt recoil and improve accuracy. The pistol also has a light, crisp trigger pull that makes it easy to shoot accurately, even at longer distances. The grip is designed with a slim profile to make it easy to conceal, but still provides a comfortable grip for shooting.
The R51 is made with a lightweight aluminum frame and a stainless steel slide, which makes it durable and reliable for everyday carry. The pistol also features an ambidextrous magazine release and a slide stop, which makes it easy to operate for both left- and right-handed shooters.
In terms of safety features, the R51 has a passive grip safety that helps prevent accidental discharges. The pistol also has a trigger safety that prevents the gun from firing unless the trigger is fully depressed. Additionally, the R51 has a loaded chamber indicator that indicates when a round is in the chamber.
Overall, the Remington R51 is a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-carry concealed carry pistol. It is well-built and designed for shooting comfort, with a number of features that make it a great choice for self-defense or everyday carry.

November 1, 2018I would buy this gun again, but paid too much in 2016
This gun has great potential and I want to love it, but it does not do well with non premium ammo. It has a low profile and little muzzle rise, but the field-strip is more difficult than so many other 9 mm handguns.

August 22, 2018Despite a lot of Remington R51 negative press over the last three years, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to purchase a "Gen 2" redesigned version of the handgun with a truly exceptional $100 factory rebate. I have had no problems with this firearm, and

August 7, 2018This pistol caught my eye with it's looks. I also liked the price and purchased it. I have yet to fire it. It is a bit different to break down and I would suggest watching a video showing how before getting into it. My first time was a real challenge.

February 10, 2018I had reservations about buying the R51. I almost bought one when they were initially released in 2014, but after reading the negative reviews and having Remington recall them, I put them out of my mind. When Remington came out with the gen 2's, my intere

January 28, 2018Still not sure Remington has worked all of the bugs out of these. Maybe a little more break-in time will tell? Cool little gun....if it functions properly?!!
