This is a great little shooter and economic home protection. I call it my "ugly gun" because let's be honest, it wont win any beauty contests! LOL! However, it eats all the ammo I put into it and it can put a half-dollar size hole in my target at 100 yard

All Hi-Point 9mm guns (pistols or rifles) shoot 9x19 or 9mm. 9x18 is a Russian round designed for their PPK knock off pistols. This gun clearly states on the side of it that it is chambered in 9x19. It is a simple fact that you cannot shoot another round
