Smith & Wesson Model 396 AirLite Mountain Lite Kit Gun
The Smith & Wesson Model 396 revolver is one of the larger models in a series of lightweight revolvers utilizing titanium in the construction of key components. The main characteristic of all these guns is the use of a cylinder made totally from titanium and used in combination with an aluminum alloy frame. Titanium is a difficult material to machine and this fact has prevented its successful application in handgun design previously.
