German company Ludwig Loewe & Co. in Berlin was one of European manufacturers that copied famous Smith & Wesson 3rd Model Russian revolver. They copied 3rd Model Russian revolver for Russian Imperial government. This revolver has a 6.5" barrel with integral front sight, barrel mounted latch with large knurled screw, cyrillic marks on the barrel. German copies like this were generally of very high quality, but considerably cheaper than the S&W produced revolvers.
