Smith & Wesson 38 Double Action Perfected Model

Manufactured from 1909 to 1920, this is a unique top break with both a barrel latch and a side thumb release on the left side of the frame. It is also the only Smith & Wesson top break revolver to have the trigger guard integral to the frame rather than a separate piece. Two line address/patent dates on top of the barrel rib flanked by Maltese crosses, "38 S.&W. CTG" flanked by Maltese crosses on the left side and the S&W logo on the right side plate. Integral blade front and notch rear sights. Casehardened trigger and hammer and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with S&W logo at the top. All numbers match. Rating Definition: Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original blue finish with only the slightest collector type handling marks. The hammer and trigger retain most of the vivid original case colors. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
