Handguns Descriptions

Falke 43

The Model 43 derringer was made in Germany by Albert Föhrenbach GmbH. Albert Föhrenbach GmbH was an air gun manufacturer founded by Albert Föhrenbach in 1947 in Bennigse, West Germany. Falke was their brand of air guns but they were also manufacturing simple rimfire rifles and derringers from 1947 to 1957 when Albert Föhrenbach had a heart attack and company was bankrupt next year. The Model 43 is an inexpensive copy of the famous ‘Remington O/U Derringer’ in the .22 Short, Long & Long Rifle calibers. The left side of the barrel is marked “FALKE 43 CAL. 22 S. L. LR.” The right side of the barrel is marked “MADE IN GERMANY”. The right side of the frame is marked “WEST GERMANY”.
