October 1860, B.T. Henry was granted a patent for the design of first true repeating rifle to be made - the novelty was so important that the gun was named Henry & the cartridges bore his marking "H" as the inventor. One man could load 15 cartridges in 8-10 seconds, the equivalent of having 15 men manned with traditional firearms. Brass frame. Octagonal barrel, tapered on top w/incorporated magazine tube. Walnut stock. Brass buttplate. OAL: 43-3/4". Wt.: 9 lbs.
