9mm - 65 Grain Frangible - NovX Cross Trainer/Competition - 20 Rounds
NovX specializes in the production of high-tech, lead-free ammunition for military and police applications, but their 9mm ammo is a great fit for civilians who are serious about training and personal protection. This frangible ammunition is full of performance enhancing features! (And we don’t mean “performance enhancing” in the sense that it will make you fail drug tests.) This round is topped with an extremely lightweight 65 grain bullet. It’s made of injection-molded copper powder and polymer, without any lead to weight it down. As such the bullet’s all set to clear a pistol’s barrel at a velocity of 1,730 fps – extremely fast for a 9mm, which in turn creates a super-flat trajectory. (This training round is ballistically matched to NovX’s own Engagement: Extreme Self-Defense line of ammo.) Its unique composition means this bullet will shatter apart into dust and crumbles when it hits a hard surface. That’s going to protect you against splash-back and ricochets, as well as aerosolized toxic lead. The flat-shooting bullet additionally reduces bore fouling (as it can’t deposit lead residue), and its rounded nose profile is highly conducive to smooth feeding. These rounds have steel cases, but they’re not like the cheapies Russia is famous for. NovX’s stainless steel case is lightweight, reliable, and extremely strong – so much so that you can even reload it!
