Sabatti S.p.A. Olimpo Trap 12GA26"
The Olimpo is an over-and-under shotgun in several gauges and models. All are equipped with standard Multichoke interchangeable chokes (though fixed chokes may be had if requested). The breech block is machined from a single block of chrome-nickel steel which is tempered at high temperatures after engraving and machining to give it extra strength. Like the Fulgor, the Olimpo has a lug on both sides of the bottom of the barrel block, but the lug is not continuous so it is not exactly double barrel block locking. The stocks and fore-ends are made from select walnut root, and (with the exception of the Olimpo Camo) are finished with satin varnish. Hunting/field models have a choice of single selective or double triggers. Except for the Olimpo Slug version, the guns are equipped with automatic shell ejectors. (The Slug gun has extractors.) The barrels are of chrome/molybdenum steel and have a ventilated sighting rib above the top barrel (with the exception of the Slug and Camo models). Most have standard pistol grip wrist stocks, but the Trap has a Monte Carlo type stock. They are all made in four gauges, except for the Sporting Clay Pro, which comes only in 12 Gauge. Except for the 28 gauge versions, they are capable of handling both 2.75-inch and 3-inch shells.
