Pietta F.lli 1836 PATERSON SUPER DELUXE PAE36

The Paterson revolver, so named because it was initially produced in a factory located in Paterson, N.J., was the world’s first commercially successful revolver. This revolutionary design, which offered an unprecedented five times the firepower of its then ubiquitous single shot muzzle loading counterparts, ushered in a new era in the old West. Employed by the Texas Rangers and by the United States Army during the Seminole war, Samuel Colt's first 'five shooter' revolver quickly earned a reputation for reliability and rapid fire which gave its owner an undeniable advantage. To this day the Paterson revolver remains one of the single most significant developments in the history of firearms. Recreated by expert European craftsmen at Pietta of Italy, the 1836 Paterson is the result of a marriage between tradition and technology. The latest in high-tech machining ensures tight tolerances and parts interchangeability, then each revolver is assembled, fitted, finished, and inspected by hand - an old world tradition Pietta has maintained throughout their 40 year existence. The resulting revolver is a fine piece of living history which exhibits attention to detail and craftsmanship collectors, shooters, and re-enactors have come to expect.
