Just under 32,000 of the 1874 Chamelot-Delvigne revolvers were made from 1874 to 1885. It was chambered for blackpowder 11 x 17mm R center-fire cartridge, which propelled its 180-grain bullet at 804 fps, resulting in a muzzle energy of 253 ft./lbs.
