The Smith & Wesson 915 was introduced as a budget-friendly 9mm semi-automatic pistol but from many of the detailed blogs and forums about Smith & Wesson, it is clear why this pistol has continued to have a huge loyal following many years after being discontinued. Several Law Enforcement Officers tout that they have put thousands of rounds and a whole lot of abuse to their duty 915 and the weapon never had a single breakage or malfunction. These are strong statements considering that these pistols have been "out of service" for almost 20 years. The 915 sports a rounded trigger guard and a left side only decoct lever/safety.
