Handguns Descriptions

Glock 21

Remarkable for its accuracy and light recoil, the GLOCK 21SF delivers the legendary stopping power of the .45 AUTO round with 10/13 round magazine capacity. Countless law enforcement units swear by the G21SF pistol, and that's why this powerful, lightweight, all climate workhorse is standard issue from the North to South Poles. The SF model reduces the circumference of the receiver at the rear, or "back strap," offering increased comfort and controlespecially for shooters with smaller hands.

Robar Melior Reduced Size (Modele Reduit)

Around 1925 the company Robar put an uncommon variation of the model 1920 on the market, which was marked with the name "Melior" and the patent-numbers as well, but had significant changes in design. It was an .25 ACP type, having the slide open at the top and still having the rear-sight dovetail-block for dismanteling. It is remarkable, that this dovetail-block is placed more to the front end compared to the other types, and is working as shell extractor as well. The internal construction though is following the typical Eibar design with internal hammer. It is unknown, for how long or how many of these models have been made. But this type is kind of rare today, and it is estimated, that it was made during the 1920ies as tryout or possible concurrent product to the very successful Walther Model 9 of this time, or even just to participate in the commercial success of it. The external design, which is mainly following the Walther-pistol, seems to proof this. But appearently the pistol was not accepted and the company forgot all about it afterwards. The left plate is checkered and has a circular blue insert, with MELIOR on top and LIEGE at the bottom surrounding the Robar Company monogram in the center. The right grip plate is also checkered with an annulus in the center, MELIOR on the top, BELGIUM on the bottom, and 6.35 in the center. Original price was $7.5. Field Stripping: Check that the magazine and chamber are both empty. Pull the trigger to uncock the striker. Lift the lever on the dovetailed locking piece and push it out either side of the gun. Draw the slide forward off the frame. Robar company was gun manufacturer from Liege in Belgium. It changed three names during it's history: Robar Fils & Co from 1906 to 1910, Robar Fils and L De Kerckhove from 1910 to 1926, Robar & Co from 1926 to 1972.
