Handguns Descriptions
AMT Baby AutoMag BAM0817
The pistol was designed by Brian Maynard, who began working at AMT in 1984. The weapon is a replica of the famed .44 caliber AutoMag pistol, scaled down to fit the .22 Long Rifle round; Maynard said he created this weapon when he joined in 1984 as he was captivated by the AutoMag, which was very famously used by Clint Eastwood in the Dirty Harry movie Sudden Impact released that same year, but was disappointed that the weapon was already long discontinued by the time he joined AMT, so he decided to tell himself that he would never get an .44 AutoMag without costing him an arm and a leg, and so he decided to make a smaller caliber replica of the weapon. AMT gave him the green light, and a prototype of the weapon was made in 1985.
