The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. It was chambered in a new, more powerful cartridge, the .44-40a .44 caliber bullet, propelled by 40 grains of black powder.
