The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. Boasting a lightweight design that's easy to carry from ridge to ridge and a 26" barrel that enhances maneuverability, Traditions' Vortek StrikerFire Backcountry Muzzleloader is perfect for hunting wild country. The internal StrikerFire system replaces the external hammer for fast cocking and the ability to mount your scope closer to the bore. To cock, the striker button slides forward until it locks, while a recessed button allows it to be easily decocked. Checking in at just 5.8 lbs., the lightweight, rugged and reliable LT-1 alloy frame sports a durable, weather-resistant nitride-coated finish and is mated to a 26" chromoly tapered, fluted barrel. Speed Load System makes loading quick and easy. Creep-free, competition-style two-stage TAC2™ trigger is factory set at 2 lbs. A 1-in-28" rate of twist results in outstanding accuracy. Hogue® Comfort-Grip overmolding ensures a firm grip in any weather conditions. Stow-N-Go removable butt pad for storage inside the stock. Extended ambidextrous hammer extension. Solid-aluminum ramrod with Quick-T™ ramrod handle doubles as a T-handle bullet starter. Soft-touch synthetic camouflage stock. Accelerator Breech Plug™ is easily removed by hand. Dual-safety system. 209 primer ignition.
