The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston

We have designed this muzzleloader to be lightweight, easy to shoot and incredibly accurate for a very modest price. It doesn’t matter your experience, the Deerhunter muzzleloader will fit your needs. 24†Octagonal performance barrels have a 1:48†rate of twist and are secured in a rugged synthetic or wood stock for excellent balance and superb handling. The Deerhunter barrels are designed to shoot full bore-sized bullets, saboted bullets and patched round balls accurately. The Lite Optic sights are fully adjustable and give you pinpoint accuracy in regular and low light conditions. The Deerhunter is also available in a Redi-Pak that outfits you with the rifle and all the accessories to get you started. Percussion models are drilled and tapped to accept scope mounts.
