The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston

6061-T6 aluminum billet X-Ring barrels and receivers. Dual-spring guide rod system. Single-stage trigger predictably breaks like glass. Steel barrel liner has 1:16 rate-of-twist rifling. Overmolded Hogue or Vantage laminated stocks. With X-Ring barrels, X-Ring receivers and TacSol Trigger Groups, Tactical Solutions' X-Ring .22 LR Semiautomatic Rimfire Rifles provide performance proven in competition. The lightweight X-Ring rifles are designed for quick target acquisition. The finest 6061-T6 aluminum billet is used to manufacture their barrels and receivers. Features dual-spring guide rod system, wear-resistant buffer, built-in 15-MOA rail and extended magazine release. Smoothly and quickly cycles rounds for fast and accurate follow-up shots. Single-stage trigger breaks predictably every time. The barrel's steel liner has 1:16 rate-of-twist rifling, providing incredible accuracy. 2.5- to 2.75-lb. trigger pull. The muzzle is tapped with 1/2" x 28 threads for compensators or suppressors. Functional fluting dissipates heat quickly.
