The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
Savage Arms 16 FHSS Weather Warrior
The Weather Warrior is ready to go, even in the most unpredictable conditions. This series has a stainless steel action and barrels that are button-rifled and free-floating. They feature AccuTrigger with built-in adjustability and safety, so there's no need for a gunsmith to modify it. AccuTrigger also provides a crisp, clean trigger pull, which enhances accuracy. FHSS models have a top-load hinged floorplate or box mag, and the synthetic AccuStock with cut-checkering and a dimensional pillar-bedding system that literally squeezes the action in all dimensions. FHSS models are drilled and tapped for scope mounts and have swivel studs. ***Please note, this model is a transitional phase model and can come with either the? hinged floor plate or a box mag.?
